About Us

We are a faith-based charity and we will support people where they are at, regardless of their faith, gender, sexual orientation or race, seeing the unlimited potential in everyone.

We are all volunteers from local churches – with a variety of backgrounds in health, education, social work and care. We have all been “hands on” supporting children, young people and adults in our professional lives. We’re volunteering to give something back where there is need and to offer hope to anyone who asks us more about faith. First and foremost we seek to serve other people in our local community.

Many of us have worked with children and young people with a variety of support needs. We see a gap in service provision to support young people and their families struggling with school attendance (for complex reasons). Regarding bereavement, we care about the wellbeing of bereaved people and offer the Bereavement Journey course which offers a support group environment to allow people to do their own grief work.

Partnerships – we work in partnership with other services where needed.

Safeguarding – every volunteer has an Anchor Point PVG and has undergone Safeguarding training as required by our Safeguarding Policy. We are registered with Volunteer Scotland which keeps us up-to-date with the legislative requirements for volunteering and supports us with training opportunities.
