Autumn Block of Literacy and Numeracy Slots Underway

We are pleased to open our offer for after-school support.

This block runs from Monday 14th September until Thursday 8th October.

We have divided the slots up into two sections
1. You can book one of Monday or Tuesday 3.15 - 4.15pm
2. and/or two of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 3.15 - 4.15pm

In other words, your child could attend up to 3 times a week, for 1 hour each time.
You can also book just one session but we would recommend your child then comes weekly as building some consistency will help build their confidence.

You can book 1, 2 or 3 hours.

We will again focus on primary Maths, reading and writing. We will take our lead from where the young person and their parent/carer feels they need the most help.

There is no charge for our services but we simply ask that if you have cancel, that you give us as much notice as possible as all of us are volunteers and some are coming straight from work/school to help tutor.

We will be extending this invitation to local schools to make referrals to us for anyone who they think might benefit. We offer small scale targeted support for those who have suffered disruption to their education for one reason or another, and whose families would really appreciate support with reading, writing and Maths.

As in the summer sessions, parents/carers can stay on the premises at the sofa area where another one of our volunteers will offer tea/coffee/chat - or you can leave and come back if you sign the consent form/waiver leaving us emergency contact details and further details about your child to keep them safe (if they have allergies etc).

All volunteers hold an Anchor Point PVG and at least one GTCS registered teacher is present at each session.

To book a place, or to make an enquiry, email hello@anchorpointglasgow.org.
