We held a successful and busy coffee morning on Saturday 30 May in our Pollokshaws premises, inviting friends and locals in to see our space. We also raised funds for the last touches to our warm and nurturing space such as lamps and prints. Huge thanks to all those who made cakes for visitors to enjoy and to the big team of volunteers who made endless cups of tea and coffee!
Throughout June, we have also met in person and online with other supportive partners doing great work in our local community and with a number of representatives from health, social work, and education to outline what we can offer and to create a referral pathway for young people who might benefit from ongoing support with school, school non-attendance, literacy issues and anxiety about attending school.
Anyone in the local community can access the Bereavement Journey course or request help for themselves/their child with homework or schoolwork by self-referring. Contact us to discuss further – email hello@anchorpointglasgow.org.uk
